This has been an issue on my desktop/browser(Chrome and Edge) players for a while. My PC is on the same local network as the Unraid server hosting Plex. Music playback is almost worthless, and it’s been like this for at least a year, updates haven’t helped in any way.
Tracks are almost all MP3’s, various quality, one or two tracks will play completely without issue, then a random track will play for 30 seconds, then stop for a minute, no errors, almost like its buffering, then play for a few seconds, then stop for another minute. It’s not the files; you can replay the track and it won’t pause at the same point, but it may pause again at some point. Skip the track and it will do it again eventually. This is a really annoying issue as I like to listen to my library when working but seems Plex doesn’t want me to.
Now when playing my library on an Nvidia Shield or my phone, either on the same network or remote I haven’t seen the issue. The issue playing remote is more annoying, it will play about 20-30 minutes of a track then I need to sign back in and start up the shuffle again.
Is anyone else seeing these same annoyances?
