Hi,
I running background music from my PMS through headless Plexamp on a RiP.
It’s streaming a Plex music library.
I deleted a song from the playlist, and it’s officially off the playlist, but the song is still on the server. The song still gets included in the playback loop.
Does the library get cached somewhere or is there something else I need to update?
Thanks,
What do you want to achieve?
Removing a song from a playlist will do just that.
If you want to remove the song for good, you’ll need to remove it from your file system (and re-scan your library) or configure your server to allow deleting media directly through Plex (and then deleting it from the library).
Sounds like you need to restart the playlist. I think that once you start a playlist, the queue of songs is added immediately, then it never refers to the playlist again until you start it up again.
If you have restarted it and the song still plays, ignore me.
Ok I rebooted the Pi so we’ll see if that works. Thanks
No need to reboot. Every time you play something, it’s “frozen” into a play queue which is then played. If you play a playlist, then remove a track from it, that removal won’t be noticed until you play the playlist again from scratch.
You can hold down the pause button to completely stop playback.
