I recently have a Plex Pass and now I can see that when my ALAC music files are played with Plex, they are converted to the inferior lossy AAC 
Is there a fix?? Shame that Plex does not allow ALAC or FLAC to be played without transcoding. Even more so when I see that DTS-MA is possible without downgrade in quality.
So PLEASE Plex let ALAC or FLAC be played without transcoding 
I direct play all of my FLAC files without transcoding. What server/client combination are you using? Did you set your client’s audio quality to “original”? I think be default on many clients, it’s set to a lower bitrate.
Are you referring to having ALAC with your video files. Playing ALAC as music should work. Playing ALAC along a video file is not the same and won’t work.
