Music Shuffle freezing iOS app playing from My Cloud Home server

Set up for the server on the My Cloud Home NAS device was pretty simple and straightforward. Playback of video files from local and non-local network is fine.
The problem I am seeing is with a large playlist, or music library playback on shuffle. It will play an album in order just fine, either local, non local, wifi or LTE. Shuffle playback under any of those conditions will freeze the app always on the third song. This is only on the iOS app. Playing the same playlist on shuffle from Chrome on my MBP will not crap out on the third song.
Any thoughts? The device I am using is a 3 year old iPhone 6s Plus. Thanks!
