I have playlists for TV shows on my server. The shuffle function for iOS seems to not work anymore. I have a playlist of a series with episodes about an hour and a half each. Roughly 40 episodes. I press shuffle and let it run. When the episode ends, it plays the same episode again. However if press shuffle, and then tap the next episode button, it will play a random episode like it’s supposed when I hit shuffle. So for whatever reason if I press shuffle, leave the player alone and let the episode run out, it will play the same episode again. Unless I press the next episode button. I confirm this behaves the same on iPadOS.
