Music single not being recognized

I have some singles that are listed under “Albums” instead of “Singles & EPs”. I can’t seem to find the setting to move them to singles anywhere. I’ve spent quite a bit of time going through settings, searching the forums, and checking my metadata to see if there is any indication of where Plex might be getting this info from. This is making my OCD go crazy. Anyone know how to fix this?

The information comes from the MusicBrainz online database.

Two things have to be true for Plex to correctly show the item as a single:

  1. The disc is correctly configured on MusicBrainz as a single or EP
  2. Plex successfully matches to the MusicBrainz record.

'Scuse me, three things:

  1. The ‘Group albums by type’ setting in Plex must be enabled

Thanks for the info! I got some of the item fixed by matching. It would be great to have a manual override for this since I have plenty of entries that don’t appear on MusicBrainz and adding entries on there would be a much bigger pain than just checking a box to override it as a single.

Well, it’s a new feature. Improvements may come eventually.
