One of my favorite acts have multiple singles that are not recognized by the plex music agent. I tried to use the id tag “release type” for this (as fount on the internet), but plex keep displaying them as albums:

Hi, when I had the same issue, 2 EPs not being recognized as such for my favorite artist, I was told about MusicBrainz. I couldn’t figure out the software but I was able to somehow figure out how to work with it on the website. I entered the missing information, and after a couple of days (might take a few days to sync the metadata) it was then recognized. Another artist that I’ve come to listen to didn’t have any metadata at all except for one EP. But when I entered it on MusicBrainz, the data showed up and it was also able to pick out the top songs and list them on the artist landing page.
Metadata is complete (as shown on the screenshot) and edited with musicbrainz… I forced metadata refresh, and I did this a few days ago… the Song “Sex & Stardust” for example seems not to be in the music brainz database. But even the Plex should pick up the “release type” tag and put it under “Singles”.
