Music Stops when Firestick Screensaver activates

When playing music through my home theater system the playback stops whenever the Firestick screensaver activates.

I have set the firestick screensaver option to “Never”, that just stops the screensaver pictures, it still turns the screen black after a while, which stops music playback.

I’m not sure if this is a Firestick or Plex issue, but it makes Plex pretty much useless as a music player for my setup.

I did search for this issue, there are a number of threads (all closed due to inactivity) going back as far as 2016 on Fire devices and Roku so it seems this has been an issue for a while

A really easy fix for this would be if PlexAmp was available for Firestick.

Side question - if I sideload the android apk will it work?

I have a good home theater system, but it’s in one corner of an open plan house, this is my only sound system so I often use it for music in the house so the Firestick screensaer stopping music play is quite annoying.
