I stream music from my Plex server (which is on my macbook connected to an external, non-networked, hard drive). When I play the music on my phone using the Android app or on my iPad using the iOS app, the music shows up in the “now playing” section in “status” on the Plex browser app on my laptop.
However, when I stream it to my hifi (a Cambridge Audio Minx xi) using Plex it doesn’t show up as now playing or register on the status page. Any ideas why not? I was hoping to check whether music was being transcoded (in relation to another question I have had answered on these forums).
