So since Plex is removing the integration of music videos with music (since they are removing music from the video player apps), does anyone know of a working music video agent? I know JF has a plug-in for IMVDB - wonder how hard it would be to create something for Plex?
I think realistically, this kind of thing will have to wait.
Until the API for modern custom agents has been published.
The legacy agents which are based on a hopelessly deprecated version of Python should be phased out as soon as possible. Mainly, but not only for security reasons.
I see that IMDB has a number of music videos in their database. I created a new library with my music videos (setup as a “Movie” type), and entered the proper search term (for example, “imdb-tt10285512” (which should return this: Chris Brown & Benny Benass: Beautiful People (Music Video 2011) - IMDb), but it doesn’t show any matches?
I can only assume that is because
Music Video != Movie
That’s disappointing as the data is there, the query that is being used just needs to be updated.
