Is there any way to keep Plex from playing movie trailers before videos other than movies? Thanks in advance for any advice.

For me at least only Movie library items will cause trailers to play.

What kind of video are you playing that’s playing a trailer?

Music videos, mainly. I have that library named Music Videos, although I’ve got a couple of comedy shorts in there.

Edit your TV Show library and disable Find trailers and extras automatically (Plex Pass required)

Also in Plex settings->server->agents->shows->The TVDB you can disable Find trailers and extras automatically (Plex Pass required)

For Other Video type libraries you can edit the library and disable Enable Cinema Trailers.

You may also disable Find trailers and extras automatically (Plex Pass required) in Plex settings->server->agents->movie->Plex Movie

And there it was, under Music Videos>Edit>Advanced>Enable/Disable Cinema Trailers. Settings>Server>Extras only references movies, so I thought that’s all it applied to. Thanks for the help.
