I have setup a global directory to store music videos utilising ‘local media assets’ which have pulled through to the artist page within Plex Music. However when I add a music video with the required Plex naming convention I get two entries showing against music video under the selected artist. One of the entries works as expected where as the other does not have a valid link assigned and the cover shows as a black image. This happens on every file I add and I have confirmed that there’s no duplicate file.
Anyone any idea why this might be happening?
Hi, thanks for getting back to me, I am running Version 1.2.0.2838 of Plex on 64bit Ubuntu (Linux) I have moved all but one music video (/music_videos/Halsey - Castle.mp4) from my global music directory to confirm there’s no duplication.
Sorry I’m having trouble uploading attachments to the forum from my Mac at the minute but think I’ve found the cause in the local asset log file:

Just have to work out why it’s seeing the artist video twice now as I don’t have another video named ‘._Halsey - Castle.mp4’?
Doh! Thanks for your help, I’ve managed to sort the problem out - There were hidden files (probably created by the Mac) in the folder which Plex had picked up. I’ve now removed this and only get the one entry showing. It’s always the most simplest of problems that cause the most grief
