Standalone Music Video section (without dependence on music files!)

Problem: Currently, Music Videos can be stored in a global music videos folder. They then display neatly formatted on the page of each music artist in a Music section. This is great. Metadata plugin for music videos

I would love to see someone developing a metadata plugin that uses the IMVDb for its information. They do have an API in beta that can be used for something like this. I have a large collection of music videos in a separate library (about 5000 videos), and manually going through this to add metadata would be an herculean task…

I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes.

As a side note… if your only target is to have a central folder with your music videos and see them as well with your artists or as extras for shows/movies… there’s always the option to place individual hard-links (no duplicate files, just a file-system index).
