Must say im impressed by PLex usage of Last.fm and "premium" libraries...

Unbelivable.

Based on all the information you have given us, your naming convention appears to be off.

Definitely looks like an issue with media naming here - can you please give us an example of folder structure?

naming and structure is perfectly fine. Its a Plex issue. (All music is in music, every artist in its own folder with every albums in each own folder. What the music-files are named doesn’t matter one bit (Its been tried)
Stopping / Starting server temporary “solves” last.fm “no matches found” scan. It does come back.

Now i tried adding a Premium Library and that is even more stupid. It want d/l metadata for albums / Artist previously found in “standard” music library.

There must be something wrong with your install of Plex. If you provide some log files somebody here may be able to help you out.

Just so you know, I have a premium music library with Metallica albums switch have matched fine.

Premium vs Standard. Random pick.

And this little snap of the library (works perfectly fine in standard, all of these are in my iTunes lib.)
Albums in them selves seem ok’ish. No INFO (notes) though, but atleast album arts..
(Plex is running on Synology NAS)

I think there is something wrong with the way Plex downloads metadata currently. I see similar things and if I add new artists they get all kinds of problems (no pictures, no top tracks, no matching etc).

Oh yes. Something is definitely wrong. I cant even get metadata for artist i have found before.

You say naming and structure is perfectly fine, yet give nothing to back it up. No scanner logs, no pms logs, no examples of your naming. It is difficult to provide assistance if you give us nothing to go off. My Metallica has been matched just fine by the scanner as have my other albums. It may be a bug that has been introduced, but if you don’t help us with information to help find it, it’s probably not going to be found unless someone who will provide that information stumbles across it as well.

It ought to be, i have used the same structure for years.
Albums, Artist have been scanned and metadata added before.
Now PLEX want recognize ANYTHING. Not even those it found a couple of days ago.
That i used metalica as a example was for obvious reason. Its easy to find anywere.
