Persistent metadata incorrect scan results

Hello I’m Jason.
I have read the instruction on naming conventions and I assure you they are perfect. I used mp3tag and footbar to correct the embedded artist/artist-album/track/comments as to the plex method.
I have 100% perfect outcome with 3000 movies and 520 complete series show. 16 tb of these libraries displayed perfectly the first try because I spent week prepping my files and reading many hours here. I am in an industry that handles database audit, assessment, and forensics for law enforcement. I am accurate in my practises.

No I have run the basic music library on my lunix purpose built server, also on my win ten enterprise work station. I receive consistent inaccurate results with both systems. Issue 1 3 and 4 posters for some artist when no “feat” “guest” or “comp” is involved with the artist. out of the 384 accual artist that exist in the music folder, 25 are duplicated every time and not in the same way each time. I have deleted the library, changed the folder name, scanned than cancel scan, empty trash clean bundles restart device and finally point to folder under its new name. 10 seconds into discovery of library the first posters to appear where all the [unkown artist] (Various artist) (various album)s that don’t exist in my file system and never have. I used a program at work that allows for advance layer search and search every thing exactly and pms displays. None of the scanner result exist in my folders, files, embedded data. Also the persistence of the previous library creating goes beyond what anyone even the advance should ever be asked to handle. I had to uninstall pms entirely and I low level formatted my ssd
to rid the inaccurate result. After reinstallation and a second try on my ryzen 9 3900x dual sock workstation, the same terrible result. Last.fm is used when only my tags are selected. I have red last fm labels everywhere and the library is unusable by anyone’s standards.

Anyone who wishes to challenge my logs my file names or my embedded data will receive full support from me. I am 100% correct in my finding and my files. I need a reason why the dat keeps coming back and why it’s terrible to start.
playing anyone of the files on plex web reveals the correct info at the lower left corner. So if the correct files titles ae known, why then is the art posters and home screen description incorrect and in duplicates for many artis.

every letter column roll in the tag are matched case expression date format to plex specs.!
All 72307 lines of my tags!

Tags are not the end-all to getting proper matching. If they were 100% correct, the problem would not exist, true?

For one of your Artists/Albums, please show how it’s laid out.
It should look something like this:

Yes the problem would exist, It’s called bugs! Plex is loaded with them. I removed all the troubled titles and completely uninstalled pms. I left only the files That worked good. After the reinstall A the bad matches came back. There are other locations that pms is using to stash metadata That I can’t get to in linux. I searched the issue With hit adviser. Over 70,000 people reporting nationwide persistent metadata. They are not all wrong. not 70,000. Why is it that playing a title reveals perfect matching in the player field but the art and name listed on the main music screen Has text from a law firm that has never been part of my file system? Now trying with nvidia shield brand new network nas access doesn’t show up. not even a metion anywhere on the latest updated from play store tonight. vlc player install on shield finds the correct files displays them correctly. Just doesn’t look or feature well like plex. This is from the nas nothing storage on shield. Plex is a nice feature rich pretty interface, but all the looks in the world don’t help when vlc vastly out performs plex’s ability to source files from nas and display them correct. plex has a very long road in front of it with these issues. You don’t see a vlc forum do you? You only need a forum if you’ve got bugs, Loads of emmmmmmmmmmm!!!

And all I hear here are a load of words.

No proof? No bugs.

I do the best I can when I’m given tangible problems and all I see here is trolling as not one shred of information has been provided to show Plex actually does have a problem.

All I see here is: “I have read the instruction on naming conventions and I assure you they are perfect. I used mp3tag and footbar to correct the embedded artist/artist-album/track/comments as to the plex method.”

If they are perfect, How about showing they are? I requested information about the file naming structure, not the tags.

Have a nice day.

PS: VLC has a lot of bugs. It has a developer’s forum where they get resolved.
PPS: If you don’t wish to use Plex, please feel free to contact billing@plex.tv. I’m sure they can help you there.
