Since sometime yesterday, categories that I have muted are no longer hidden from the forum home page. I have muted “The World is Flat” and “Live TV & DVR.”
Do you have more than that muted or just those two?
so only those two are having the problem?
Those two and “Third Party” as well.
As a test, I just muted each of the 4 categories within Third Party. The sub-categories are hidden, but the top-level is still there. So the problem appears to be with top-level categories.

On the brighter side, ‘Forum Feedback’ is visible again. 
This should be working now. Please let me know if not.
I just sat down to the computer and noticed that. Yes, it is back to normal, and Forum Feedback is as well.
