I woke up this morning and checked my email. At 3:47AM and 4:06AM I got emails saying my password had been changed.
I immediately tried logging in and I couldn’t, so I clicked the button saying I forgot my password. I reset my password. I can’t log in with my username ( like I usually do), but I can with my email address.
When I log in now, everything is ‘vanilla’. It shows I am not subscribed to plex pass, my payment information isn’t there, my profile picture is now just a letter, my users are there, my server isn’t there, etc.
I went to the contact page and sent a message under “Billing” but it can take a day? And with the long weekend, I’m not sure if that’s going to translate over to Tuesday?
I logged into plex as one of my users. My servers were renamed and correctly show as offline. So I think they logged in as me, changed the password, changed the email, then created me a new account with my email so I would log into that when I reset my password. Maybe?
My main concern right now is my plex pass subscription is tied to my account that I can no longer access, and my family and friends I had been sharing my library with are still linked to the stolen account.
I don’t know what to do at this point other than this.
