I am trying to get a hold of admin. I just setup a new server to host my Plex on instead of using my gaming PC that I have been using for years now. I am going through my account settings and noticed the email under my account isn’t mine. It is an email that I don’t even recognize. I can’t change the email address under account. What is weird is that I use my actual email and password and I can login but under account it shows this wrong email that I can’t change. I have a lifetime plex pass and don’t want to delete this account.
Take a look into your email inbox (don’t forget the SPAM folder).
Two days ago your Plex account was accessed from an African IP address which changed your email address and pretty much anything else.
Using the link in the email, you can revert the change.
Don’t forget to immediately change the password (tick the checkbox “Sign out all devices”) after you have regained control of the account.
