My advice for people wanting Plex Pass

Pay for it for a month to try it out. If you like it, buy the lifetime.

I’ve run into people on this forum, who have been “paying for plex pass for years” who are getting angry that no discount exists for existing customers (there is one though, you just have to keep an eye out on your e-mail). This makes 0 sense to me.

“Years” implies 2 or more. We’re at $5/month for at least 24 months. That’s $120.00 (The cost of lifetime) PLUS they now want to spend $75 on the lifetime, that’s $195.00… When they could have just spent $5 for the first month, figured out they liked it, and spent the $120, bringing their grand total to $125.00

Why bang your head against a wall waiting for a “Possible” deal, when you could be giving yourself a deal right now?

If you like it, and you’re paying $5.00/month for it every month, and you like it enough to spend $75 on it, that means you should like it enough to spend $120, cause you’ve likely already done that…

So please, use the monthly subscription for testing purposes, and buy the lifetime, you’ll save yourself a bunch of money

For me, did I need a Plex Pass many years ago. The answer was no back then but over time Plex Pass Perks have changed and my needs have also changed with Live TV and DVR being introduced

If Plex features suit you now by all means get a Lifetime Pass.

I was a lucky Member in that when DVR was introduced I was not a Subscriber, then a enlightening email came with a shiny option of Lifetime at a discount. Well guess what, I jumped all over it and bought my self a HDhomeRun from SilconDust and parted with $75US for my pass.

I’m a happy Plex camper, so evaluate carefully when trialing and if you have all the bits in place to suit your Plex setup. It’s time for a Lifetime pass just like Jason outlined.
