I’m new here en i’m dutch. I will give it a try to explaine my problem in detail.
I now have plex voor several months. I use the plex server on my laptop. All my movies are on a NAS (My Cloud Home). On the NAS i have a plex folder (this location was automatic made after configuring plex through the NAS). In the plex folder are all my movies (al least 650). Adult movies and movies for children. All movies are in a own folder. I wanted to make two collections in plex. Before I went away on holliday everything was fine. I worked a couple of days very hard to add at each movie the name of de collection I wanted to be the film in. Also I changed a lot of names, searched for movieposters and add a plot for a lot of movies. Every thing i could put a lock on, i did. As far as i know, everything with a highlighted lock, stays de same after a library scan.
So yesterday, I was back from holiday. At the begining of the holiday i couldn’t reach my movies trhough de plexx app. So when i was at home i went for a look.
Suddenly, at first, he did not see any of my movies. After a while, i tried a lot, my movies came back with a librabry scan. But after he was finished, the movies are the same as before. Before my hard work with al the changes i made. You can still see the collections, even with a picture of wich movies are in it but there are no more movies in the collections. I have to do it all over again for about 650 movies. Is this because of an update because i saw there was one and my plex server did look a little bit different.
Anyway, I’m a little bit frustrated now because I don’t want to do it all over again.
Did de locks before the name, before the plot etcetera doesn’t mean anything at all then?
Someone who can explaine or fix this?
