My managed user listens to a lot of bands from our local area so they are not well known… So when she uploads them onto the plex server, Plex attempts to match the artist name with metadata but it often gets it incorrect. So they should be able to edit album artist information such as bio, album cover etc by pressing the edit button on the top header. however the edit button is not there??? It is on my account (Superuser) - what the heck is going on? Can I make her a superuser??? I don’t want to have to edit all these for her. Please help!
Only the server admin is allowed to change anything.
So either you allow her to ‘Switch User’ to your account
or
you make the edit for her
or
you set her up with her own server. (requires a full Plex account)
Thank you for clarifying that! Surely Plex could make an update so that certain managed users can make those small changes???
It is not that small a change. It will open up all kinds of issues, once introduced.
You may add your vote on this feature request: Allow Managed User to have admin Privileges (edit/delete)
