Hi,
I’ve been using Plex at home for nearly 10 years now but am currently looking to deploy something at my workplace.
One element of functionality that Plex doesn’t seem to have is the ability delegate another user which you have shared libraries with (managed or other Plex users) to edit metadata, artwork and info.
Is it likely that this feature would be on the roadmap anytime soon?
Thank you for posting this question! I have been looking everywhere to find out how to allow users to edit tags in music and other media, but couldn’t find anything until this thread.
Incidentally, I am VERY interested in this feature. My family and I share a great deal of content (photos we’ve taken, videos we have shot) that has faulty metadata due to the format it was shot in or the device used, and there is no way I can update it alone. For now, I have to give everyone the password to the administrator account just to be allow everyone to edit that content.
