I use Plex primarily for music. All files are meticulously tagged. I recently digitized my collection of about 100 45RPM vinyl singles. I treated each disc as an album with (typically) two tracks, an A-side and B-side. I use the A-side track for the album name. In the “Review” field I add various background information about the album/single. I’ve been having a problem where the server seems to be randomly deleting my review information over time. I restore the information by cutting and pasting from a text file, but eventually it gets deleted again. I can’t detect a pattern. It doesn’t happen to all albums all at once, and it doesn’t happen to the same albums each time. It’s driving me crazy as I’ve at times had to go back and restore 40 or so album reviews. I have thousands of “real” albums where the title of the album is not the same as the first track, and the title is not the name of a popular song, and I haven’t noticed any of those reviews getting deleted. Has anyone else experienced reviews being deleted from their music library? Any ideas on how to diagnose this or prevent it from happening?
