My music stopped "being available", what happened

Server Version#:3.95.2
Player Version#:

After several months of everything working, my system had a power outage. When I brought it back to life today, suddenly it can’t seem to play any of my music anymore. Tidal plays fine.

I’ve tried using desktop browser, iOS on my phone, and through Sonos. Nothing works.

The files are definitely still in place and working because I can play the same music through iTunes and Sonos.

Give user Plex permission to read your Music shares again (also do this for other shares).

It surprises me that I had to go find this answer myself. I would have hoped that there would be an alert in the UI, an email, or a warning when downloading the new version to tell me about this breaking change…

Or was there some obvious way I should have found out about this that I missed?

Thanks. I can now play it thru my desk top, and the app on my iPad. Sonos now tells me it is recorded at a 0 Hz sample rate, so it won’t play. I reauthorized Plex in Sonos, but it doesn’t help. Any suggestions?

I’m not much help with the webhooks (those are server settings) nor the app interface itself (the Skill). Given the permissions problem, Sonos might need a kick somehow.

I’m the OS guy and sadly not so much help on the apps.

Perhaps a restart of the server so everything re-registers?

Now I got the email telling me about this change, and how to deal with it. Great job Plex, this is what I needed – just a little late…

Sorry about that. THAT was the notice everyone should have gotten BEFORE.

Again, I am very sorry about that.
