My plex media will not show up on my TV But shows up on my Desktop

Hello, I don’t understand, I’ve been trying for several hours to figure out where the error could be coming from, but I can’t find it.

Let me explain, I’ve installed plex on my computer, I’ve made two libraries, one for my TV shows.

One for my movies

Everything’s fine

I then installed plex on my BRAVIA XR 65” Class X90L Full Array LED 4K HDR Google TV (2023)

I connect to the same account/Network (Both Wired) as on my PC, except that the movie and series libraries don’t appear…

So I can’t view my movies and series on my TV.

I haven’t opened any ports, as I’m only trying to do it locally at the moment.

I’ve tried digging into the settings, but haven’t found anything conclusive. I hope I can get some help in resolving this frustrating issue.

Did you ever find a solution?

I have a PMS at my in-laws house in Pittsburgh and one at my house in Los Angeles. I used to be able to watch live TV from anywhere with my Nvidia Shield but have had problems since about the same time as you.

I can see the PA server in the Shield but the LA one doesn’t even show up. The PA server has not been able to stream live tv for a while now though.

On my laptop I can see both servers and can watch TV from either so what I’ve been doing is pulling up what I want to see on my laptop and casting it to the Shield TV.

It would be nice to have the issue resolved though.

Would need to see the android tv logs to see how it is trying to connect to server if at all.
