Server Version#: just updated to latest docker but can’t tell
Player Version#: web 4.54.5
I was playing with my reverse proxy this morning and was trying to get plex to play nicely with the new reverse proxy. I wanted to have the certificates regenerated through the new reverse proxy so I thought I’d log out of my plex account from the server and log in again to have it regenerate the certs. When I logged out, all my library stuff went away and FOR THE LIFE OF ME I cannot get my library data back online.
I’m running this all from a docker running in Ubuntu so I’ve tried restarting the docker, pulling the latest image for the docker, stopping the docker moving the database directory and starting it up again hoping for a clean slate. None of this has worked. I can’t see the server settings at all.
This is what my Plex settings screen looks like:
When I look at the console from here it gives me a bunch of:
[Connections] [Loopback] is unavailable at http://127.0.0.1:32400/media/providers (Status 0)
[Connections] All connections to [Loopback] failed
[Servers] Found all servers = plex.tv
[Primary Server] Waiting for any eligible server to connect
[Primary Server] Waiting for any eligible server
Here’s a screenshot of that:
I don’t know why it would go to loopback, shouldn’t it use my URL location from the browser? The browser’s URL location is the hostname of my plex server. Seems dumb, of course it’s not going to be able to connect to the server on my local machine!
Anyway, what are the steps to get my media back online? I’m dead in the water here. ![]()
