As I see a lot of features for Plex coming up that I never use (DVR, integrating streaming services …), I’d like to give you my suggestions of features that I’dlike to see.And maybe it’s not just me who thinks that this would be some nice improvements.
01. Make theming customizable
Why is it not possible to choose my own colors and background images (vids) or my own icon set? Or my own font? This could be a huge plus to make Plex more “your own”.
02. Individual start pages for my guests
As I share my media with my friends & family, I’d would like to give them special notice about which film I’d recomment to watch, want to make my own list of “new arrivails” within movies & music. Maybe I’d like to add a personal note for that special film. Wouldn’t this be nice?
03. Let me share my files with my guest
i’m he only one, whocan download the files frommy server.
I know, you don’t want to make the private Plex servers a peer2peer network, but sometimes you want to share files that you own with your “guest users”. Otherwise there’s a chance to integrate a sFTP or NextCloud interface that allows you downloading the files offside of Plex.
04. My own rating & notes
Aside of IMDB or Rotten Tomatoes I’d like to have my won rating system for pictures, movies & music. Maybe IMDB rates down a movie that I personally love very much, so I’d like to give my own stars. And I’d like to add some personal note to my pictures.
05. Music videos sorted by artists & with folder pics
Yes, I’m hosting my own MTV on Plex. But there’s no option to have them sorted by artist (included in the file name) in a folder that has a picture to indicate it’s content visually.
All I can do is to choose “folder” and have these odd windows folder look:
As you know windows folders that contain *.png pictures will display them.

That is what I want & need the most from future Plex. Mostly no big deal,I think.
Would love to see one or two things in the comming versions.
