Why are some of my own video clips that I have created and saved on my Desktop titled incorrectly when displayed via Plex? They are often given a title for a film, complete with cast of actors when they are simply just family video clips.
I have tried editing the metadata but you need a Plex pass to do that.
Are you using a movie library and Plex Movie scanner and agent?
Try an Other Video library instead.

Where are you getting stuck when you try this? Editing details shouldn’t require a Plex Pass.
You could also unmatch the item, but as FordGuy mentioned, if you’re trying to catalog family videos, using an ‘Other Videos’ library is a better option, or a movie library that uses the personal media agent and Plex video files scanner, which will prevent Plex from trying to match your content against online sources.
