I’ve recently acquired a MyCloud Home from HP, and started using Plex.
No issues whatshowever when dealing with relatively low Q files.
Recently I’ve started downloading more up to date files and series, and I’ve come across an issue, more precisely, the "not enough CPU … " issue.
This is specifically occuring with the files that are in AC3 audio format.
Now I would like to be able to read those files on a Samsung Q67 TV.
Here is where it gets wierd.
File A : 4k HDR, AAC format : no issue to read it anywhere, except on the Plex Browser page where it doesn’t work.
File B : 4k HDR in AC3 format, unable to read it anywhere BUT on the W10 and Android Plex apps.
I cannot get my head around how to make those AC3 files work on my TV.
I’ve tried “optimizing” the files, but I get a “wrong metadata” error each time I’m trying to do so.
Is anyone having the same issues ?
Obvious easy fix would be to convert those files in another audio format, but that’s what I’m trying to avoid.

This looks like an issue with limited audio/video support in some clients and the inability of a MyCloud to transcode 4K HDR video.
The MyCloud is not powerful enough to transcode & tonemap 4K HDR video.
Plex Web cannot direct play 4K HDR media. PMS will try to transcode/tonemap the media, which will fail on a MyCloud Home.
Plex Desktop and Plex HTPC both direct play 4K HDR10 media. They will tonemap HDR10 video when displaying it on SDR screens. They also direct play most audio formats.
The Plex Samsung app should direct play HDR10 video with AC3 audio. However, that client does have limitations. Try playing the media with subtitles turned off. Will it play?
Please attach the Plex XML Info for one of the problematic movies/shows. Save the file as a .txt file or zip it. The forum does not support .xml attachments.

My TV Samsung is a q60R series, so definitely capable of playing HDR10.
I’ll have a look in the options to make sure it’s on direct play and not transcoding/tonemaping whatever.
I had issues with this specific TV on high subtitiles options media (MKV specifically), but some media on my Plex library have 15+ subtitles track available and play fine. I will have a crack at it tho, thanks.
Problem is the media doesn’t even launch before the “not enough CPU …” message, so no way to switch to no subs before playing.
Here are 2 XML files, the first one from a working media, the 2nd one from a failing to play.

I have absolutely no idea what happend.
I cleared the not working files from the Plex server, and redownloaded them to try your solutions.
(Keep in mind I’ve tried like 5 different files for the same show before hand, making sure I hadn’t got broken files or something).
I just played the files, and they work now. I beleive it’s still the exact same file/release etc.
Can you tell me if the 2nd file I sent you is an HDR File, and if that was the issue ?
Pinning the problem might help me avoid it later down the line.
