Naming and sorting for Mad About You and 2019 revival

Hello All,

Got a bit of an odd one, and don’t know how to fix it. I got Mad About You on DVD, complete series, and have the 2019 revival of the show. I prefer to go by TMDB for episode order and naming. Plex TV folder is set to Plex TV Series for the scanner and Plex Series for the agent, and this has been working well for me. Episode naming and ordering is set to TMDB.

Here is where it gets weird, I can bring in the original 7 seasons, and the specials, and it gets recognized and named correctly because TMDB has that info. However, TMDB treats the 2019 season as a separate show, and I cannot get plex to recognize it if I add it as its own folder, i.e. “Mad About You (2019)”, even when doing a manual search with TMDB-95391 (which just puts it under the original 1992 version, and thinks season 1 is all wonky now). If I name it all as Season 8, including the episodes, I can change the episode ordering/naming on the show to TVDB, and it will recognize the 2019 season as season 8, but I lose all special names.

Also on watch.plex, I don’t even see the 2019 season.

Now I don’t really have a preference or care if its all under one show in plex or two, but I want the naming/meta data for specials and the 2019 season. Any recommendations other than manually naming/updating either the specials season or the 2019 season by hand?

The TMDB IDs got merged into a single entry and needs to be split.
