Hi, I read your naming convention for TV shows and for multi-episode files.
And for me, it is working, if I really obey those rules strictly. But I suggest that you extend functionality for sub dirs for multi-episode files, too.
Here’s what I mean:
I added two files for the four-episode mini-series “Der Überläufer”:
\path-to\nas-server\tvshows\Der Überläufer (2020)\Staffel 01
Der Überläufer - s01e01-e02.mkv
Der Überläufer - s01e03-e04.mkv
When doing so, I get four episodes, just as is described in the naming conventions.
BUT…
If I add the same two multi-episode files like this:
\path-to\nas-server\tvshows\Der Überläufer (2020)\Staffel 01
Der Uberläufer - s01e01-e02\Der Überläufer - s01e01-e02.mkv
Der Uberläufer - s01e03-e04\Der Überläufer - s01e03-e04.mkv
Then I only get two episodes, named episode 1 and episode 3…
You analysis then does not respect multi-episodes, while it will work with single episode files beautifully.
Well, having a couple of external subtitle files, a different cover, different NFO files, some info from tinymm, etc, for each episode, there can be valid reasons to have subdirs for each episode - and Plex is supporting it (thanks).
I know, the rules are the rules… but hey, you are mastering these rules and I would be happy to see that these get extended (not changed) to support a sub-dir for each episode if the subdir follows the same naming conventions as the files - also for multi-episode files.

And by the way… the above-mentioned mini-series is just a small example. I have TV shows that hold easily one hundred files per 22-episode season… which makes the file work a mess if everything is in one big folder.
Would love to see this becoming reality.
