With the newer versions coming out quickly, 3rd party solutions for this are starting to fail. I would like to see native support for distributed transcoding. With a 4k stream taking up to a 6000 or more cpu passmark score, being able to either setup multiple servers to handle load, or even chaining together a ton of raspberry pis to handle my transcoding would be great. Setting up gpu farms would also be pretty sweet, but likely much harder.
As it stands I either have to buy a monster box, or streams just start failing without distributed transcoding.
