There is an existing long and detailed thread on DV, I’d recommend anyone having problems or wanting to understand more, read through it and any other links provided in it.
The short answer is dv is a mess, with multiple profiles and capabilities, and most devices are not compatible with all of them.
Most, if not all, streaming devices are intended for streaming (Netflix etc) dv, not decoding 4k Blu-ray dv profiles.
Toss streaming devices general lack of truehd support, which causes transcoding/direct streaming, which in turn causes problems for dv.
