I downloaded the Seagate NAS version to my new personal Cloud NAS, but it won’t install the program. I access the NAS on my computer but when I click on it, it seems to default to trying to use IE on the computer I happen to be accessing the NAS with to install which is incompatible with that RBW file. I don’t know how to get it to start the installation on the NAS and install it there. I think I need to tell the system the correct installation program to use to start the installation

The Seagate updating process is rather simple, but neither do Plex or Seagate tell you how to do so. I will walk you through the steps to help you out.
-
Download the .RBW file to your desktop or downloads folder.
-
Access your Personal Cloud via web interface. It should be 192.168.x.x - It’s an IP address associated on your network.
-
Log into the Personal Cloud. On the top left corner, there is a square icon. Click on App Manager.
-
On the right corner, there should be an option which states “Manual Install”. Click on that.
-
It will ask you to find the .RBW file you downloaded either to your desktop or download folder. Look for the file and add it.
-
Be sure to check “By checking this box, you acknowledge the risk of installing apps that are of unknown sources or origins.”
-
The installation of the update should start. Please allow 5-10 minutes for allowing this to complete. When it is done, you will see an icon on the top right corner indicating that the Plex Media Server has been updated.
I hope this helps with installation.
I don’t have the required dependencies? What is needed?
