Mac OS Mojave Plex Server Manual Update does not OPEN

PlexMediaServer-1.19.3.2831-181d9145d-armv7.rbw as required to Update Plex Media Server does not ‘unpack’ / Open. the .rbw is problematic. The App Store does not feature any app that will open this update. There is zero information on how to complete this process making PLEX completely useless. The ‘Open Server Directly’ likewise doesn’t open the Server. So many problems with this app. No help from the technical department listed.

The rbw files is for Seagate NAS devices not a Mac. The Mac version downloads as a zip file which after opening you just put the Plex Media Server.app file in your applications folder like any other app.

if you are trying to install it on a Seagate NAS you need to do that through the Seagate App manager. Instructions are here under the “Advanced” heading towards bottom of page to install third party apps https://www.seagate.com/manuals/network-storage/business-storage-nas-os-4/app-manager/

All my content is “Unavailable”…

I needed to restart my Seagate as a result of the new Plex update and received this message. It seems very complex to resolve and the online or Plex instructions seem to be erroneous to me.

As an example instructed to go to Settings>Manage>Troubleshooting to get to Download Logs, which I did. But there are so many logs, what now?

I looked at one, but I don’t get all that code.

Then you advise going to the Plex media control panel. Yet again you don’t show where that is supposed to be. There are so many different instructions, it’s all very unhelpful and confusing.

Can you please be of assistance?

add the entire zip file of logs to a reply if you want someone to look at them for you.

When exactly did I advise that? There is no such thing as s “Plex Media Control panel” and I would never have referenced anything of the sort. If you go to the screen where the download logs button is then you can get into server settings.
