Hi all. I know this has been posted before, and I have tried following the tutorials posted by @ChrisPA but I seem to always get lost along the way, so sorry for that.
I am trying to run PMS on Raspbian on a Raspberry Pi, but it seems that although the server can see the external NTFS drive, it can’t see subfolders inside it.
I’m a Linux noob, so dumbed down instructions if possible please! I can upload any info you need as long as you tell me how to get it.
Thanks!
Edit: I have been using this guide, and done everything up to step 9. Link to the bad guide removed by mod
I have said it often and I will say this again. This guide is garbage. Please start from scratch with our official setup instructions. As Linux “noob” you might want to use a graphical environment to setup Plex and the typical UI tools to mount your drives. If you do, please skip the “Mounting USB Drives” part and directly move on to " User Mode Plex Media Server". Thus, PMS will have access to all your USB drives and network shares and you do not have the learn all the Linux internals right now. However, if you want to use Plex an your RPi without a GUI, you have to use the traditional instructions, i.e. “Mounting USB Drives” .
FYI: I will remove your link to not improve SEO for these people.
Brilliant, thank you very much. I will try that guide this evening.
That guide definitely has SEO on it’s side, it’s hard to find anything else when looking for help with this!
So my problem at the moment is I’m back to when I posted this topic; I’ve got as far as step D in Chris’ tutorial for adding the HDD at the Mounting USB Drives part of yours.
