I just added a new movie to my Movie folder. Now an old TV keeps showing up in the movie section. It is just pieces of one TV show but it has multiple files that are being created. They are labeled Media 00001, 00002 etc. There are over 100 of these and when I click on them, they are a 5 second clip or just a snapshot of a TV show that has been in the TV folder for some time now. What is going on and how can I get rid of them?
It sounds like you’ve added your Plex data/transcode folder to your movie library path. Double check your movie library configuration, on the Add Folders tab, to ensure that you only include the base folder where your movies live.
My example is from a Mac, so yours may look different. However, the idea is to ensure that the only paths listed point directly to the base folder of your movie media.
If in doubt, provide a screenshot of the same page from your server and we can see if anything looks suspicious.
Yeah, I think that was it. Somehow, it was not directed to the Movies folder anymore. Weird.
