I need help with my collections. During many years i didn’t use them so i decided to delete all the collections. But now i would like to re use this service, but i don’t want to make all the collections manually.
I noticed that when I added files to my server, Plex created collections (Saga). That’s what I’d like to see again. Their poster was particularly pretty and well done. When I create a manual collection I only have a mosaic of covers and no synopsis.
I try many option, as refreshing metadata and change some settings but nothing work.
I hope I’ve been clear and that someone have tips to help me.
If you have created collections manually before, chances are that many of your rmovies have a locked Collections field in their properties.
Go verify that on some movies which you may remember being in collections.
If the collections filed is not locked, Plex can create collections automatically.

Indeed, they are blocked.
So, I just have to unlock the collections tag manually from each file and refresh the metadata? Or would you recommend another quickly method?

Thank you very much! I’ve successfully restored all the collections for my movies. I’m going to describe the technique that allowed me to do this quickly, hoping it might help others.
1. Select all the files in the library.
2. Edit the collection tags by clicking on the pencil, then on “Tag.”
3. Click on the lock icon to highlight it (orange lock), then confirm.
4. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3, but this time unlock the lock (gray lock), then confirm.
5. Refresh the metadata.
