Need help syncing library with RV so that it can be played back over LAN to multiple devices

I have a plex server at home. I am building a media server in my RV. I would like to work out a way where my RV server will sync my media library (metadata and files) when it’s connected to my LAN (manually initiating the sync is fine.)

Here’s the rub - I then want the local files on the RV server to be available to multiple devices on that LAN for streaming… As well as have the ability for any new content added to the home server to populate to the RV server (metadata only… I don’t want the RV automatically downloading everything over the limited cellular connection.) That “remote” content should stream/transcode as needed.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

There’s no way to sync two servers from within Plex. You can probably find a way to push/sync videos from a drive connected to your home server to the drive used within the RV (e.g. using rsync). The Plex metadata and view states are not designed to be synced between servers.

As for using the RV‘s Plex Server while offline you might want to look into this thread from the tips and tricks section.
