Syncing metadata on a separate Plex server

I have a Windows Plex Server running in my home and I routinely stream from it and have invested a lot of time curating playlists and metadata for my content.

Our family has a vacation cottage and I would like to take an old Linux box up there so we can enjoy our movies and music. I would like to set up this Linux box as a separate server. There is NO internet in this location. My plan is to have USB drive that I keep with my Windows server and before I go up to the cottage, I will sync my media.

My question is, can I sync the metadata and media folders from one server to another or is there a better way I can keep these two separate machines in sync?

You could probably just copy the PMS data folder and make sure all the drive paths to media are all exactly the same. Only thing you probably do not want to copy over is the preferences.xml in there which will make it think is it the exact same server and it try to claim with your account
