There have been a lot of bug fixes since 1.41.5 was released in March (release notes).
I’ve been running 1.42.2 for over a month with no problems. From what I can tell it is a quite stable release.
Five days ago you were running PMS 1.30.1 from Jan 2023. The reason for moving to 1.32.8 then to 1.41.5 was to minimize the impact of the database changes between those versions. There are no major database changes from 1.41.5 to 1.42.2. There is nothing magic about 1.41.5. The only reason it is in Package Center is because Synology will not update it.
Personally, I would update to the current public release. I’m cautious about installing Plex updates. However, I cannot think of a reason to stay on 1.41.5.
