Neither Server or Player will run on OSX 10.13.5

For at least the last few months I’ve been having this problem. I was waiting for the most recent updates to see if that would fix things. My system: MacOS 10.13.5 on - iMac 21.5-inch, Late 2013, 2.7GHZ Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3.

Both server and player will start, but after about 5 seconds they shut right down again. Is anybody else experiencing this? Could I be running some conflicting software? I’ve been a Plex Pass holder for years, but I’ve been using Infuse because Plex has always had trouble with my very large library. Then just when I was happy with how Plex was working, now there is this. I’m very disappointed. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
