Player Version#: 3.105.0 (?)
Hi! This will be a really long post, but I will try to keep unimportant things out of it. I stream via the Plex APP for the Samsung TV. It is an 8-series TV. The TV is connected to the local LAN through ethernet and not WiFi.
I’ve been having a really weird issue for about 2 weeks now (could be longer, but I haven’t been home that much). When I try to stream movies or TV shows it works fine for 30 sec to 5 minutes. Then suddenly either of these things will happen:
- The stream starts to buffer
- I get the “Network Connection Lost” error message. This is the most frequent error.
- TV loses internet connection completely for a few minutes. This ONLY occurs after using plex!
- All of the above
This does not happen for other apps like youtube, netflix or HBO. This only happens when using the plex app streaming on the same local network as the server. Streaming from a different client like the PC server itself, ipad, phone, laptop and even from work over remote access works without any issues.
My setup is as follows. Plex server installed on a PC and the media is on a synology NAS.
What I have tried to resolve the issue:
- Setting up DHCP reservation to the TV
- Setting a static IP on the TV
- Deleting the plex APP and reinstalling it
- Factory reseting the TV
- Changed ethernet cable
- Changed the router
- Moved the plex server from one server to another server with better specs.
- Checked for plex updates on the server and firmware update on the TV. Both are up to date.
- Resetting the internet intake
- Tried using DLNA, but that had other issues on its own.
- Hard exited the plex app with holding down the “back” button on the remote
- Power cycling the TV
- Optimizing the media for TV
- Disabling IPv6 in plex (because why not?)
- Tried going over WiFi instead. Same story.

Please help! It feels like im running out of options.
EDIT: Tried over WiFi and have uploaded logs.
