When playing videos if air pods are connected, you hear a brief portion of the sound then the sound stops. The video continues to play. If you switch the sound from AirPods to the phone the sound comes back. If you start a video with AirPods connected the player will not play. One frame of video loads and the buffer fills but the video won’t start. I tried fast forwarding, rewinding, pausing, and force closing the app. If I disconnect the AirPods, the video starts, with audio. Reconnecting the AirPods just loses sound again. I have tried this on multiple videos, with different audio and video codecs and with and without spacial stereo sound on.

UPDATE: Upgraded server to 1.32.7192 - No change

Does this apply to tvOS too, as almost all the issues can be replicated there too?

Yes. Disabling for TVOS as well.

I am told we are going to re-enable for TVOS beta because the main issue with the new audio engine is airpods and spatial audio which mostly is used with iOS.

This is so other fixes for issues with TVOS beta the new engine addressed can be used and get feedback on in the beta. On TVOS you should be able to disable spatial audio if that bit is giving you issues.

This should happen sometime later today ( Probably morning in Europe)
