This is just a ‘Kudos’ to the PLEX team on the new Dashboard. I love this and am so happy on the job you did developing it. This has been something I have wanted for a long time and I’m thrilled with how it turned out. Keep up the good work.
agreed!
the live bandwidth meter is particularly useful, one can easily see when/where upload bandwidth limits start being a problem. (and makes it apparent when it is the client bandwidth problem)
This is an excellent feature add. I’ve been tough on the Plex guys recently but this is a great feature/addition. I’d love to see it expanded on like tatulli but this is a great start.
Elan already confirmed that this is just a baby step and there is far much more to come.
It will be even more amazing being able to see the dashboard from Plex clients like android, iOS, or PMP. Hoping that’s possible in the future. Thank you again Plex. It’s a great addition.
Where is the dashboard located? I don’t see it anywhere.
For now It’s only available via Plex.tv
From there click the activity button.
Its awesome. Really nice to have all this built in.
I have Tautulli installed, But only really used the Home Screen to see whats playing right now, & History to see what was played & when it was played. It works really well, But having something similar integrated is so much better IMO. Thanks Plex!!!
And according to Elan it’s only the beginning, with much more info and stats to come.
The Dashboard is pretty cool and has a lot of features I have thought about since my interest in Plex.
However, what would now be even cooler would be to add a feature to the Dashboard letting us know who is logged on as a shared user scrolling through what to watch.
I believe this would be a great feature because there has been times where I have been doing maintenance on my server PC that requires me to either reset or turn off my PC. I would not find out that someone was scrolling through what to watch till a day or so after when they told me they had issues and the server went offline. They have then switched to Netflix, which no Plex Pass user wants to hear. Or another example would be where I am using another program that requires a lot of CPU, this would in turn affect any conversion processes when a user starts to watch a film.
If I could see someone was logged in or online, I would put maintenance or high usage of CPU on hold till I could see that they were offline.
