New episodes would not schedule to record - How I Fixed It

I was struggling with getting a show to record, and I’ve resolved the issue. I’m posting it here in hopes that someone else might see it when they run into it.

What I was seeing: Show was scheduled to record all new episodes, but was missing new episodes. Removing the record-all function and recording just this week’s episode, it would show the record icon briefly in the schedule, but the icon would disappear and the show wouldn’t show up in the DVR schedule. I tried nearly every setting I could think of in the recording settings.

Eventually, I simply removed the already-recorded episodes. It seems like maybe the DVR was seeing the new episodes as previously-aired episodes. Deleting the recordings fixed the issue immediately.

If there’s something else I should’ve done, or if someone knows which of the downloaded log files I could’ve gleaned the particular error from, I’d love to hear that, but mostly I’m just posting my solution here.
