Same here. Here are the basic downgrades I’m seeing from the old app (which worked perfectly fine to me):
- Why was the shuffle button removed from the playback screen? Why is shuffle only available as an option on the TV show page (versus from what’s Now Playing or anywhere else)?
- The automatically skip intro/credits is nice, but it seems to break the playback flow and cause loops. What’s going on here?
- Who thought the rotation lock by default was a good idea?
- Did the shuffle engine change/break? I’m finding Plex getting stuck repeating the same episodes over. Before, the shuffle wasn’t actually random, but it was usable. Now it’s just not working as intended.
- Why did you take away custom iOS icons? That was one of my favorite perks!
- Why am I being forced to choose my library every time I start the app instead of being taken into my last-used library?
- What changed with finding local network libraries, and why am I and many others getting “Cannot find server” errors when nothing has changed on our servers’ ends?
I’m a lifetime Plex Pass member, and I’ve loved the service. But this iOS update is a bad one, and I’d be very happy with a complete rollback.
