I had to install PlexMediaServer on a new linux server. I could not set up my local library when I tried to access it by DNS name, myplex.home.lan. The initial wizard to configure my library was not popping up; but when I used its IP everything worked fine.
Is there anything cached somewhere that I need to clear/unregister before creating a new server?
Plex is strict about FQDN names when the server is unregistered / unclaimed.
In this mode, it will accept IP only.
After you add your cert/key/CA to it (a P12 file) then you’ll be able to use the FQDN without issue.
I checked Plex.tv. I cleared out those other servers which you had deleted.
Now you have only your LXC server visible.
