I have several PBS shows I record all new episodes of. They tend to air the same new episode several times a week. Plex records all of them, sometimes six times. Could this have something to do with MCE buddy replacing the original file? If so, I can record those to a different path so MCE Buddy doesn’t ingest them.
Can you describe more about your setup. What library is used for recording? Is it the same library for your TV Shows? I use mcebuddy as well and do not see the same episodes recorded multiple times. Does mcebuddy move the new converted file to a different library other than the library the DVR records to and delete the original recording? I was seeing multiple recordings when I first started using Plex, the cause of it was moving files from a DVR library I had setup to my TV Shows library.
