Good evening I wanted to inform you that the new player does not work very well, on my Zidoo X9S (Android TV base) if I use the new player I can not play almost anything in direct playback whereas if I leave the settings unchanged and disable the new player, the reproduction starts very well as it has always done until now, I would like to provide you with a debug to understand where the problem is, but I don’t know how to do it on the client side.
I can add that on my Sony 55XE9005 TV (Android TV) using the new player he can play the usual file that the Zidoo X9S failed.
I’m pretty geeky, if you explain me how to debug, I help you solve it very willingly.

Zidoo does not support hardware acceleration on any software player other than their own (Home THeater app or with ZDMC). The only way to get your library available from your plex server is to install the plex kodi connect addon in ZDMC and have it direct play everything via SMB in the addon settings. The only draw back is watch status is not automatically synced with plex so when you are done watching a show you must manually take the show/movie as watched.
I think I will disable the new player so everything will continue to work, I hope that they will not take away the possibility of using the old player, as I see more and more incompatible devices or that have problems with the new player, I hope they solve them. Thanks for the reply
